BROWN BUTTER SAUCE (VEGAN)

Brown Butter is easily one of the simplest most delicious sauces to make. You can choose to drizzle it on steamed fish or vegetables, add it to potatoes and bake them, add it to mashed sweet potatoes or drizzle it over your favorite pasta dish. The gradual browning of the butter gives it a nice nutty flavor that compliments an array of foods. Of course I had to pull up with the dairy free option and it did not disappoint. Here's my recipe.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup vegan butter/margarine (i use marigold)

1 tbsp Almond Nuts

METHOD

●To a small saucepan on low-medium heat add margarine and allow to melt.

●Once melted add almond nuts and continue cooking on low-medium heat for 5-8 mins until it begins to look dark brown in color and begins giving off a nutty aroma.

NOTE : (careful not to burn if margarine begins smoking the heat is too hot)

●You can strain into a heat resistant dish immediately if you have a metal strainer. If you don't allow sauce to cool then strain and serve. More importantly enjoy.

Thanks for joining me for another session of Food Therapy and I hope to see you soon ❤
