Crispy Fried Shark

Updated: Aug 20, 2020

Hot pieces of fried shark with some ketchup, pepper sauce, mayo and mustard paired with some fries or bake and I'm greatttttt. Once well seasoned this sea food hits some levels that only top level seafood can hit I promise you and if you choose to fry, bake, grill, curry or stew shark you're guaranteed to enjoy the flavors. Here's my recipe, do enjoy.

1lb Shark sliced

1 Lemon or 2 Limes

4 tbsp Green Seasoning

1/2 cup Flour

1 tsp driedThyme

1/4 tsp Chili Flakes

1/4 tsp dry Cayenne Pepper

1/4 Garlic Powder

1/2 tsp Paprika

Pinch Black Pepper

1/2 tsp Salt

Oil (for frying)

●Wash shark pieces with water and lime or lemon to clean and cut the freshness then place in a clean bowl for seasoning.

●Add green seasoning and salt mix well and set aside to marinate for a few mins.

●Place oil in wide frying pan and place on medium to high heat.

●Add flour to a wide bowl or plate and season with paprika, cayenne pepper, chili flakes, thyme, garlic powder and black pepper and mix well.

●Test readiness of the oil using a bit of the flour if it sizzles when it hits the oil it is ready (if the oil is smoking it's too hot you need to lower the heat a bit before cooking anything in it)

●Once the oil is ready place pieces of shark in flour and coat the shake off excess and place in the hot oil to fry. Ensure both sides are golden brown before removing from the heat and placing on grease proof paper or paper towels to absorb excess oil and then serve hot.
