Curried Shrimp

Let's talk Curried shrimp. Well shrimp itself is already delicious but let's apply some curry, cumin, spice and the beauty of fresh green seasoning and what do you have? A mouthful of amazing flavors that make you want to request seconds and thirds okay? This recipe is great for any day or night and it's a beautiful, little quick fix that you can whip up and have in no time. With further ado here's my recipe do enjoy.
INGREDIENTS
2 lbs medium Shrimp
(shelled, deveined and washed with lime/lemon water)
3 tbsp Green Seasoning
4 cloves Garlic crushed and chopped
2 tbsp Shadon Beni chopped
2 Pimento finely chopped
4 tbsp Curry Powder
1/8 tsp Turmeric Powder
3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1/2 tsp Cumin
Pinch Black Pepper
Salt to taste
Hot pepper to taste
METHOD
●Add green seasoning, black pepper and cumin to shrimp and mix well.
●Set aside and add oil to medium sized saucepan and allow to heat up for a min or two.
●Once oil is hot but not smoking add curry and turmeric powder and stir into oil allowing to cook for 1 min.
●Add to curry mix your garlic, shadon beni, pimento and hot pepper and stir well for a few secs until fragrant.
●Add shrimp to pan and stir well.
●Add 1 1/2 cups water to shrimp and allow to come to a simmer
●Cook for 10 mins add salt and remove from heat.
Serve hot with desired sides and enjoy.
