Garlic and Ginger Noodles

Noodles can be such a quick, delicious and filing fix, no wonder they're at the top of my favorite foods list. I love a simple noodle recipe and this one is divine. With a little sweet and a little salt but will a lovely amount of the heat coming through from the dried chilies, its wonderful for any meal really. If you want to bring a little Asian style to your menu well here you go: my Garlic and Ginger Noodles recipes. Enjoy.


1pk Thin Egg Noodles or thin Spaghetti

1 lb Green Beans (cleaned)

1 small Carrot (julienne)

1 small Green Onion (sliced)

2 rbsps Ginger (grated)

4 cloves Garlic (crushed and chopped)

1 med dried Chili (chopped)

2 tbps Vegetable Oil

2 tbsp Sesame Oil

3 tbsps Dark low sodium Soy Sauce

2 tbsp Brown Sugar

Salt to taste

1 tsp Sesame Seeds (for garnish)

1 tsp chopped Chives or Green Onion (for garnish )


●Cook noodles in saucepan of boiling salted water for 4-5 or as instructions on packing directs.

●Before draining noodles remove 1/4 cup noodle water and set aside. Drain noodles and set aside.

●In large wok or saucepan add Vegetable and allow to heat up.

●Add garlic, ginger, chili and toss for 10-15 seconds until fragrant.

●Then add carrots and green beans to wok and stir well, allow this to cook for 5 mins till both have softened but still retain a bite.

●While veges are cooking add soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and and noodles water to all mixing bowl and stir well till sugar has dissolved.

●Once veges have cooked add noodles to the wok along with mixed liquids and salt.

●Turn off heat and stir noodles well to ensure noodles, veges and sauce is well incorporated.

Serve noodles hot with desired sides and top with green onions and sesame seeds.
