Immune Building Tea (my blend)

Updated: Apr 7, 2020

Sweet and Spicy Immune Building Tea

I'm somewhat of a naturalist; I'd much rather have a some garlic and ginger blended into a shot or stepped into a tea than a pill when it comes to boosting my immune system. If I can encourage and boost my body to do what it was created to do, I'm all for it. With that being said, in more dire cases, of course I am open to seeking help through modern medicine.

It's flu season and unfortunately we're also currently dealing with a pandemic. Many of us are seeking natural ways to stay healthy this season and I have just the thing. Here's a recipe with a few of my go to herbs and spices all infused into a tea to give your body that extra kick it may need.

1 1/2 cups of water

1 stick of cinnamon bark

6 clove buds

4 cardamon pods

1/4 tsp cayenne powder

1 tsp crushed ginger

1 tsp mint pepper mint and chocolate mint

1 garlic clove crushed

I piece dried orange peel

1 pinch dried thyme

2 - 3 Slices orange

Honey to taste

Method ●Add water to saucepan and bring to a boil. ●To boiling water add all herbs and spices setting aside the orange slices and honey. Lower heat and boil mixture for 5 mins turn off heat and let mixture to further be steep in hot water. ● Place orange slices into tea mug and strain mixture into mug, sweeten with honey and drink while warm or hot.

The flavors are indeed strange and not the most enjoyable but definitely ideal for the purpose of this blend. So drink up.

Thanks for joining me for this session of Food Therapy. Do stay safe and I hope to see you guys soon❤
