Juicy Jerk Pork Chops

I have a serious relationship with spicy foods and when I say relationship we are super invested in each other. I jerk almost every type of meat I eat and I love it♥️. While jerk foods are Jamaican style cooking it's quite popular all over the Caribbean and beyond. Jerk style foods are usually grilled but Teri twists again I sometimes cook jerked meats on the stove in a skillet or by baking in the oven and it's still delicious. I hope you enjoy my jerk recipe because I sure did.

Ingredients

4-5 pork chops (washed with lime or vinegar water)

4 tbsps green Seasoning

1 tsp salt

4-5 tsps Jerk Powder

1 small onion

2 med pimentos

2 tbsp vegetable oil



Method



●Place cleaned chops in a bowl.

●Peel and roughly chop onion, slice and seed pimientos and grind to a paste in food processor.

●Add ingredients to chops with 1 tbsp vegetable oil and rub well until fully coated.

●Use tbsp oil to grease baking tray and place chops in oven on 270 degrees.

●Bake for approximately 15mins or more depending on thickness of chops.

Served here with my Sesame Bun and Coleslaw with Mustard Vinaigrette it was very very delicious.
