Orange Glazed Fried Chicken

Fried Chicken is already a damn near perfect recipe but sometimes with somethings, you just need a little twist. Adding sweet flavors to savory foods can really surprise you and I can tell you that this chicken was a hit for all who had it. Fried to golden crispy perfection then dipped in a citrus, delicate glaze with notes of thyme and a little spice peeking through. I really think I've found another winner through this chicken. Here's my recipe guys, I do hope you enjoy.

Fried Chicken recipe here

1 cup Orange Juice

1 small to medium Orange sliced

2 cups Water

1/2 cup Sugar

1 tbsp Thyme

2 tbsp Corn Starch

1/4 tsp White Pepper

Pinch Salt

Pinch Red Pepper Flakes

●To a medium sized saucepan on med heat add orange juice and stir few a few sec until the sugar dissolves.

●Add one cup of water and thyme, orange slices, pepper flakes, white pepper and salt. Stir and lower heat and let simmer covered for 5 mins.

●Add cornstarch to the remaining cup of water and add it to the saucepan and stir well. Once liquid thickens and begin to bubble around the edges. Turn off heat.

●Place your chicken pieces in a large bowl and pour glaze over chicken and toss. Serve hot and most importantly enjoy.
