Sesame Seed Bread

Updated: Mar 1, 2021

Few things are as comforting as the smell of freshly baked bread in a home. Confession I've struggled with baking in the past so I have made it a habit of creating simple and delicious recipes that help with otherwise complex foods. So here's another simple recipe from me to you that I hope you will use every time you need that warm, comforting smell and fresh delicious slices of homemade bread.

5 cups sifted All Purpose Flour

(a bit more for dusting)

1 packet of 11g Instant Yeast

1 1/4cups warm water

2 tbsp brown sugar

1/2 tbsp canola oil

1 large Eggs

1/2 tsp Salt

1 tbsp water

2 tsp sesame seeds

Method ● Dissolve yeast in warm water, add sugar and oil and whisk and let stand for approximately 5 minutes (until mixture begins to produce bubbles.) ●Beat eggs and water (set aside 2 tbsp to brush on bread) add egg mix and whisk into yeast water. ●Gradually add flour and the remaining ingredients and combine. ●Knead dough on lightly floured surface until smooth and cover with a damp towel. Allow dough to rise for approximately and hour. ●Punch dough down and form into desired shape (loaf or buns) place in greased and flour baking dish and set aside again covered with damp cloth for 30 -45 mins to rise. ● Uncover dough brush with egg mixture and top with sesame seeds and bake at 250 degrees for 20-25 mins or until top of bread is golden brown in color. Serve your warm soft bread with whatever you love and enjoy. Thanks for joining me for this session of Food Therapy. I hope you enjoyed, see you guys soon ♥️
