Brown Sugar Glazed Smoked Pork Chops with Peaches

Another sweet and savory treat. Smoked pork chops, once done right, can be some of the juiciest, most tender meat cuts you will ever have. I found some beautiful cuts in my grocery store and I wondered for a min what I should make of them. It came to me almost immediately really. What can be a better compliment to a lightly smoky cut of meat than a smoky sweet glaze with hints of sweet and refreshing peach? Simple is the name of the game here and yet so elegant and beautiful. I am pleased as always to share my recipe with you. Enjoy. INGREDIENTS 4 Smoked Pork Chops 1/4 Brown Sugar 1 whole ripe Peach sliced 1 cup Water 3 tbsp. Olive Oil 1 tbsp. Smoked Paprika 1 tsp dried or fresh Parsley 1 tsp Garlic Powder 1/2 tsp Onion Powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1 tsp White Pepper 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes 1/4 Cayenne Pepper pinch Salt METHOD ●In a large bowl place pork chops and add paprika, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and rub into chops well on both sides. ● Set aside to marinate for 30 mins to 1 hour. ●To a large skillet on med to high heat add olive oil and allow to get hot, place pork chops into skillet and cook for 4 mins on each side to get a light caramelization. Then remove chops from skillet place in a dish and set aside. ●Place skillet on high heat and add water and using wooden spoon gently scrape the base of the pan to get the bits of pork fat and meat etc. stuck there (this method is called deglazing) ●Add brown sugar a pinch salt and cayenne pepper to skillet and allow liquid to boil until it has reduced by 1/2 and begins to thicken. ●Place chops and peaches back into pan and allow to cook for 1 min on either side then turn off heat. ●Serve chops hot with whatever sides you desire, glaze with liquid and of course most importantly ENJOY!
