Soft Fluffy Buns

Golden rolls is what I call these. Yummy, soft and delicious rolls that are, let's face it, really easy to make. Bread can be a challenge for most, myself included, but I really love making these. They're simple, they taste great, they store well and with the right fillings they make a great meal. So the next time you decide to tackle the world of baked goodness, why not try these. Here's my recipe. Enjoy. INGREDIENTS 3 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour 1 warm cup Water 2 tablespoons room temp Butter/Margarine 1 large Egg 1/4 cup Brown Sugar 1/2 tsp Salt 1 packet Instant Yeast 11g Topping 1 Egg Poppy Seeds METHOD ●To large mixing bowl add yeast, sugar and warm water and whisk until sugar has dissolved. ●Set aside and allow yeast to bloom for 5 mins. ●In separate medium mixing bowl add salt, flour and butter. Using hands rub the butter into the flour until properly incorporated. ●Once yeast has bloomed and water is frothy whisk egg into water then gradually add flour to liquid and bring together forming a ball with the dough. ●Knead dough using hands for approximately 5-7 mins (dough will be sticky so dust the surface you're using to knead dough with flour until it no longer sticks) ●Place kneaded dough back into large mixing bowl and cover with a damp towel and let rise for 1-2 hours. ●Remove dough from large mixing bowl and place on flour dusted surface cut into 10 equal pieces roll into balls and place on greased and flour baking tray. ●Cover again with damp towel and let rise for 5 mins. ●Whisk egg and brush top of dough and sprinkle top with poppy seeds. ●Place in preheated overn and bake at 375° for 12 - 15 mins Remove from oven and set to cool for several min on wire rack or eat straight out of the oven with butter, jam or cheese like I do because hot, soft, golden and fluffy buns are irresistible.
